Maintenance Request
If you have an emergency that is hazardous to you or others, call 911 immediately.
All non-emergency maintenance requests need to be submitted by completing the form below. Before submitting a Maintenance Request, please review our common maintenance issues and easy fixes here. Providing accurate and complete information will ensure a better diagnosis and resolution of the problem. When complete, click "Submit" and the form will be emailed to a representative of REabodes.
In the event of a "property emergency" please call (309) 397-2497. If your request is deemed an emergency, a maintenance contractor will call you back as soon as possible. A property emergency is defined as anything relating to the property under the lease agreement that is threatening to the integrity of the property.
PLEASE NOTE: If the maintenance request is a result of a tenant's action or an act of negligence, charges will be deducted from your deposit (example - toy or comb dropped in toilet, damages to walls by resident, etc.)
What Is and Isn't an Emergency?
-
Fire — Call the Fire Department immediately at 911.
-
Air Conditioning Repair — A/C repair is not considered an emergency. In the event you have a health-related issue, call 911.
-
Clogged Toilet or Drain — If the toilet is overflowing, turn off the water at the valve located at the base of the toilet. It is your responsibility to have a plunger for your unit to dislodge the clog. (We recommend the "heavy duty" kind.)
-
Heat Repair — If outside temperature falls below 32 degrees, then yes.
-
Broken Doorknob, Lock or Window — Only if it prevents a resident from properly securing the premises. If temporary measures can be taken, report the problem using the online Maintenance Request.
-
Pipe Broken — Locate and turn off the water valve to the pipe or exterior water main. Call us immediately and a contractor will be dispatched.
-
No Electricity — If the entire residence has no electricity: 1) Call your electric company to be sure they are not at fault and that you have activated the service; 2) After checking all the breakers by switching them to the "OFF" position and then back "ON", reset all GFI circuits in the house. Partial outages do not represent an emergency. If a wall switch or outlet begins to smoke or smell, immediately call the Fire Department at 911.
